About us

Welcome to Invasive Labs, the only game design and art studio composed entirely of one married couple. Our first project is “Heavenly Parasite”, a hand-drawn, 2D fighting game featuring neutral-heavy, assist-based game play.

Our ambitions, however, extend far beyond a single game. Invasive Labs is gearing up to unveil a series of games set in the world of "Heavenly Parasite". Next up is a tactical video game that will (hopefully) challenge your strategic prowess, and a tactics board game that will make you say, “gee, this isn’t that bad of a board game”. 

Beyond the gaming realm, we have a wide array of comic books that explore hard science concepts through the lens of visual storytelling. We attempt to explore how concepts such as Special Relativity or the Many Worlds theory may affect both human society and experience. In addition to comics, we create fan art: a testament to our love for the community, showcasing our artistic interpretation of beloved characters and universes. 

At Invasive Labs, our goal is not just to create games; it's about crafting worlds, weaving stories, and fostering a community that shares our passion for fighting games and science fiction. Meet the Team


  • Head Artist and Designer

    Chance Oberlander has been creating comic books for over 20 years. In 2019 he taught himself how to code, and the idea for Invasive Labs was born. He’s been working very hard ever since.

  • Director and Sound Designer

    Calla’s role in life is basically to organize Chance. In addition to running the show, she is the sound designer for “Heavenly Parasite”. In her spare time she enjoys cosplaying at shows.
